  • The Catholic Conference of Ohio has approved resource materials entitled "Faith & Politics 2006" intended to foster the virture of faithful citizenship in the Catholic community. The ten-page resource contains personal reflection questions, quotes on Church teaching, questions for candidates, information on state ballot issues, and the Catholic Conference of Ohio's Opposition Statement on Issue 3: Learn and Earn Constitutional Amendment Regarding Casino and Slot Machine Gambling.   • “Created, loved, redeemed by God. Priceless!” is the theme for the 2006-2007 Respect Life Program. Begun in 1972, the Respect Life Program provides information about Church teaching on the value and dignity of human life to the Catholic community and the wider public. The program, observed in virtually all of the 195 Catholic dioceses, combines education, prayer, services and advocacy. The Respect Life Program begins on Sunday, October 1, this year.
