Sacramental Information

Baptism

Baptisms are celebrated at the scheduled Sunday liturgies on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. Parents are required to have an interview with a priest to begin the process of Baptism. Choice of godparents needs to be approved at this interview. Following this interview, attendance at a Pre-Jordan class is required for parents and recommended for godparents. Pre-Jordan class is held the last Tuesday of the month except July and December, at 7:30 pm in the Parish Activities Center. Please call the Parish Office in advance to schedule your interview with the priest.

Marriages

Please contact the rectory 6 months prior to any anticipated wedding date. In most cases you will need to meet twice with the priest before setting a wedding date.

Pre-Cana Sessions

Pre-Cana is a requirement for marriage. If you intend to marry at St. Nicholas, please call the Parish Office for details.

Rite of Christian Initiation

Those interested in the Catholic faith, please call Mary Lou Staker Ruth at 740-453-7141.

Ministry to the homebound and those in nursing homes and hospitals

If you or someone you love wishes to receive the Eucharist or to have pastoral visits, please call the Parish Office . Please call immediately when a loved one is hospitalized.
